Thalassemia Screening

Thalassemia screening is a simple blood test to identify whether parents are carriers of thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder.

If both partners are carriers:

There is a 25% chance of the baby being affected

Further diagnostic tests like CVS or amniocentesis may be advised
